Commissioned by President Bashar al-Assad, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Amman, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub, Bishop Atallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox, who is receiving treatment in a hospital in the Jordanian capital, visited a poisoning incident he suffered a few days ago in the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in occupied Jerusalem.

Diop conveyed to Bishop Hanna greetings of President al-Assad and his wishes for health and a speedy and complete recovery, affirming Syria's condemnation of the Zionist entity that used internationally prohibited gases in Al-Quds Al-Sharif, citing the positions of Bishop Hanna in rejecting the aggression and occupation, wishing his recovery and his return as soon as possible to exercise his distinguished national and national role.

For his part, Bishop Hanna asked to convey a message of thanks, gratitude and love to President Al-Assad, expressing his deep appreciation for the solidarity of the leadership and people of Syria with Palestine, and indicating the steadfastness of the Syrian Arab Army and its sacrifices in the face of the terrorist plot against Syria.

Bishop Hanna emphasized adherence to the principles of the rights of the Palestinian people and its just cause, and that Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of Palestine.

Bishop Hanna announced in a press conference yesterday in a hospital in Amman that he was poisoned after inhaling chemicals that were sprayed inside the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in occupied Jerusalem, stressing that all indications are that the Israeli occupation is behind the incident.
