(CNN Spanish) - The Bolivian Ministry of Communication clarified on Tuesday that the appointment of the daughter of interim president Jeanine Áñez to a government position will not be remunerated.

The clarification of the Ministry comes after the president of the Chamber of Deputies and member of the Movement for Socialism (MAS) party, Sergio Choque, denounced nepotism in the transitory Government of Áñez.

"When they were opponents, every day they denounced us for this situation and today we see a shameless participation of relatives from the president, ministers, in this type of attitude," Choque said in statements to the media.

Carolina Ribera, eldest daughter of President Áñez, assumed the honorary position of presidential representative in the Support and Social Management Unit, the Ministry of Communication said and assures that "this designation is not remunerative."
