Participants in an arbitration course entitled (International Arbitration in Comparison with Syrian Arbitration Law No. 4 of 2008) stressed the importance of the arbitration role in attracting foreign investments, preserving company rights and obligations and facilitating contracting procedures and processes with local companies.
For her part, Dr. Mona Al-Kayyal, Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, stressed the importance of making arbitration a culture after he was a practicing practice, while Mohamed Al-Ghadban, Director of the Center, pointed out that many companies want to present the disputes arising from their actions and contracts to arbitration instead of the judiciary due to its secrecy and speed with which it is decided, stating that there is About 60 arbitration centers in Syria.
The course will be held over a period of three days, in cooperation with the Union of Middle East Organizations in France and the Damascus Student Consulting Company specialized in international exhibitions and conferences in Malaysia. It will be supervised scientifically by Judge Dr. Muhammad Walid Mansour, member of the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Justice.
The opening was attended by Dr. Rasha Al-Muhaimid, Director of the Union of Middle East Organizations in Damascus, and a number of judges, lawyers and interested in arbitration.
