Officially winter here. Yes, we already announced it when we moved to a winter clock in October and yes, we have had a few rainy days since then - but by this weekend what we saw here was not really winter. This is how it is in Israel, winter always knocks a fashionable overdue. Suddenly when he's here, irritable and constantly agitated, we all hysterically run around to get the flu, stock up in warm clothes and look for umbrellas in the dust. We, too, went into winter foreclosure and scoured the web for tips to help us get through this ever-drier winter - and miraculously came across the next "BuzzFeed" video that solved all of the winter's wet issues.

Every winter the fierce winds break at least one umbrella and we rush to buy a new one, the pouring rain always gets in our shoes and we spend hours trying to dry them and even as we grow head and get to work in boots - the socks somehow always get wet. You can solve all of these problems with five effective tips that appear in the BuzzFeed video. The first tip is to help us seal our leaky rubber boots. Method: Apply aquarium sealant to the boots. The material should be allowed to dry overnight and the next day you can already use your immunity boots again.

The second tip is to prevent us from throwing an umbrella in the trash only because one of its arms is broken. Take a fastener, straighten it and just rotate it on the broken arm. The third tip is for drying socks. Obviously you can just hang them to dry overnight - but there is a faster way: roll them in a microfiber towel and squeeze it for 30 seconds so most of the moisture is absorbed in the towel.

The fourth tip is for drying regular shoes that have absorbed water - perhaps the most common problem in winter. Who would believe that newsprint is the most useful for such cases? Put newspaper in the shoes, also wrap the outside of the shoes, tighten with rubber bands and use a hair dryer at its lowest intensity to speed up the drying process. Remove the paper as it dries and get in your way.

The fifth and final tip may be familiar to most of us - but get a reminder: To dry a wet cell phone before it breaks life, put it in a bag full of rice and soak it overnight. The rice is expected to absorb the water and bring your mobile back to life. May we all have a warm, dry winter!
