Japan breaks its own low birth record

In Japan, the number of babies born this year fell to 864,000, the lowest since 1899, according to government statistics. This is the fourth consecutive time that the figure is below one million with 54,000 births less than in 2018. In 2019, 1 million 376,000 people died in that country, the decline of the natural population in Japan was 512,000 residents.
