Mississippi raids changed the lives of immigrants

Morton, Mississippi, is not the same since the US Customs Immigration and Control Service raided six chicken processing plants this year. Many of the Hispanic residents fear there may be another raid. Those who have a detained relative now must take care of their family and many of those who left are not allowed to return to work according to the terms of their release.
