A man accused of murdering his wife in Washington state the day after Christmas has thanked U.S. President Donald Trump and the American Rifle Organization (NRA) in a very bizarre tweet series on the social network Twitter.

Kevin Himesoth, the main and only suspect in the death of his wife Lynn, sent a series of four tweets Thursday at 3 a.m. stating "I shot and killed my entire family."

On a tweet from the National Rifle Association which reads "Merry Christmas," Hymsoth responded in a tweet: "Guns don't kill people, people kill people - guns only make it easier." He then went on: "Now I murdered my whole family, and I couldn't do it without a rifle! I'm just a coward. Murder with a knife was too hard for me, so again I want to thank the NRA."

Tweets in the same vein were written on Donald Trump's Twitter posts, and by a senator named Mitch O'Connell, who is known for his support of the Rifle Organization. After thanking Trump for his support for holding personal weapons, Hymsoth began to tweet on US Presidential posts the highlights of his political year.

While Hymsoth continued to tweet on Twitter, police arrived at his home, where they were shocked to discover his 58-year-old wife was shot in the head and without life, and Hymsoth himself, who was also injured, apparently as a result of a failed suicide attempt, continued to chirp throughout The social network.

Watcom County Police said there was a real concern for Hymsouth's life and that once he regained consciousness they would complete the investigation of the tragic case.
