The ministries of Tourism and Economy and Homs Governorate were requested to include the most important tourism projects in Palmyra with a loan interest support program to help develop their activities and overcome the negative effects of the war on them.

The government’s support was also emphasized to develop renewable energy projects such as the Solar Cell Factory in the Industrial City of Hasia and the Heavy Wind Turbine Factory and it was agreed to sign a long-term agreement to rent the factory’s products for ten years in addition to signing contracts with the Ministry of Electricity to generate 25 megabytes of electricity from alternative energy.

Discussions included the importance of increasing financial support to the Homs Governorate to rehabilitate the affected commercial areas and streets, organizing industrial zones, and supporting export to small industrial establishments through its own customs data and the mechanism for granting import licenses.

It was affirmed that any initiative put forward by economic activities would be adopted, which would expand the production of existing facilities and settle the conditions of non-performing enterprises for reproduction and reduce the negative effects of exchange rate fluctuations on the reality of life through coordination and cooperation between the public and private sectors and invest the available resources in an optimal manner that ensures support to the process Local development.

The Prime Minister clarified that the private sector is a reliable development partner to mitigate the challenges imposed by the war and support the local economy in facing economic sanctions imposed on the Syrian people, which reflects the importance of continuous meetings with industrialists with a view to setting joint plans to stimulate the production process and address the reality of medium and small industrial enterprises Stalled.

The Ministers of Health, Internal Trade, Local Administration, Finance, Industry, Economy, Foreign Trade, and Tourism presented their answers to questions and suggestions during the meeting.
