Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi confirmed his country's rejection of any "unilateral action" by the US military or any other forces inside Iraq, saying that this measure is "a violation of Iraqi sovereignty and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security of Iraq and the region."

This came in a statement by a spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Abdul Karim Khalaf, today, according to the Iraqi News Agency.

Khalaf said, "Abdul-Mahdi informed US Defense Secretary Mark Asper, his strong rejection of bombing the sites of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces and demanded that he stop it immediately while instructing to prevent any unilateral ground or air action without the approval of the Iraqi government, noting that this would lead to more From escalation. ”

The popular crowd in Iraq announced earlier today that sites belonging to it had been bombed by American aircraft marching west of Al-Anbar Governorate, resulting in deaths and injuries among members of the 45th Brigade.

Abdul-Mahdi called for an emergency meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security to take the necessary measures to protect the Iraqis and preserve the security and sovereignty of Iraq after the US military acknowledged that it had bombed sites for the Iraqi popular mobilization.

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Organization recently announced that the American army allowed American and Israeli planes to carry out repeated attacks on the crowd in several areas in Iraq.
