Deir Ezzor-Sana
On the occasion of the 68th Christmas Day, the Directorate of Agriculture in Deir Ezzor, with the participation of community and grassroots activities, planted 7,500 trees in Port Said, as part of the national afforestation campaign that includes planting more than 4 million plants.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform announced that dozens of hectares will be planted within the national afforestation campaign, which begins this month and continues until the end of next March.
The director of agriculture in Deir Al-Zour, engineer Mahmoud Al-Zuh explained that the Port Said site in the city of Deir Al-Zour was chosen to celebrate the Tree Day and planting about 7500 plants in it because it was vandalized and burned by terrorist organizations, which is the beginning of a campaign launched by the Directorate to plant 100,000 plants with the aim of returning the vegetation and surrounding the city of Deir Al-Zour A green fence protects the city from dust and dust storms.
Participated in the celebration, member of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Yasser Al-Shoufi, Governor of Deir Al-Zour Abdul Majeed Al-Kawakibi, and the party's secretary in the governorate, Saher Al-Sakr.
