The efforts of the Ministry of Electricity in 2019 focused on rehabilitating the infrastructure affected by terrorist attacks, networks and tension lines, completing its direct generation stations and enlarging the capabilities of some stations in parallel with the implementation of a number of new and mobile stations and putting them into service to meet the increasing demand for energy.
With regard to new works, the Ministry implemented the Eastern Park Transfer Station 66/6 230 kV, with a capacity of 250 W. in Damascus, in addition to four 66/20 kV transmission stations with capacity of 200 / MW / Ibn al-Nafis, Babila al-Mobile, Nubl and al-Zahra in Aleppo countryside and al-Ma`mal in al-Suwaida .
A number of new lines / 66 / kV have been implemented, with a total length of 27 km, in Nuble, Al-Zahraa, Cement, Aleppo, Al-Faiha 1, 2, Ibn Al-Nafees 1 and 2, Al-Zahra, Babila and Barza in Damascus, in addition to a number of lines of small lengths.
In the field of expanding and enlarging the capabilities, the expansion stations and enlarging stations of Nasiriyah and the Tishreen Dam in Aleppo were expanded and enlarged, in addition to the expansion and enlargement of 12 other transfer stations in the Umayyads, Kiswah, Damar, Qutayfah, Qutainah, Aleppo waters, Maskanah, Aleppo P, Al-Thawrah, Al-Khafsah, and the Sports City in Raqqa and Jableh.

To maintain the reliability of the electrical network, the technical workshops continued the procedures for periodic and emergency maintenance of all components of the network and securing the necessary materials, equipment and works through the conclusion of approximately 80 contracts, most of them internal and in Syrian pounds.
In the field of renewable energies, the Ministry announced projects of the renewable energies strategy that were approved for the year 2030, and the executive program for it is currently being developed.
