According to people at the scene, the man was a volunteer of 2 million 3 strikes at Union Street Station. He saw riot police near the stadium, then ran back to the station to tell other volunteers, and was subsequently hunted down.
Two million three strikes at Union Street issued a statement condemning the police for "suppressing Union Street." Witnesses mentioned in the statement said that the arrested man did not make any impact on the court, but was unreasonably pursued and beaten by the police, and pepper pepper was sprayed on the way. The neighborhood asked the police to respect the rights of citizens to form unions, and warned the police not to suppress unions to set up neighborhoods to recruit members.

A section of Hennessy Road outside Southorn Stadium, a number of new unions set up street stations, recruiting members, including more than a dozen workers such as the Music Society, the market and the marketing professional union. At 2 pm, a man was subdued and taken away from Southorn Stadium. Volunteers at the scene alleged that the police had not explained the reason for his arrest.
According to people at the scene, the man was a 2 million 3 strike Union Street volunteer. When he saw riot police near the stadium, he ran back to the street location on Hennessy Road and told other volunteers that he was subsequently hunted down and subdued. He had been sprayed with pepper spray and beaten with a truncheon.

The 2 million 3 strike Union Street issued a statement condemning the police for unreasonably interfering with the street, "arresting and assaulting the party in public." The statement mentioned that the police suddenly arrested and beat a two-million-three striker volunteer at a construction site near the Workers ’Union Street Station at 2 pm outside the Southon Playground.
The statement also stated that eyewitnesses said that the arrested person did not make any impact at the time at Southorn Stadium, but was unreasonably pursued and beaten by the police, and pepper pepper was sprayed on the way. Lianhe Street urges the police to respect the rights of citizens to organize trade unions, so don't disturb the street.
