The Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong, the largest party of the constitutionalists, suffered a heavy blow in the past district elections and lost nearly 100 district conference seats. Many senior and double-minded lawmakers have been dismissed, and their whereabouts have attracted much attention from all sides. It is reported that Ye Aotong, deputy secretary-general of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong, who is the chairman of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, has recently returned to the Wen Wei Po to take charge of politics and Hong Kong news.

When accepting enquiries from "Hong Kong 01", Ye Aodong acknowledged that he is currently the assistant editor-in-chief of Wen Wei Po, but said that he has been an employee of Wen Wei Po. Due to recent adjustments in his work, he will invest more time in the newspaper in the future. Prior to serving as a district councilor, Ye Aodong was an assistant interview director of Wen Wei Po. It is reported that in his internal speech, Ye Ao Dong talked about future plans in order to make Wen Wei Po the most influential newspaper in Hong Kong.

When Ye Aodong was a district council member, he declared that he was a news executive. He stated that he has been an employee of Wen Wei Po and has written articles in newspapers from time to time. However, due to his busy work in the past, he thanked Wen Wei Po. His understanding makes him not to worry about interviews.

Prior to serving as a district councilor, Ye Aodong was a reporter for the political edition of Wen Wei Po, specializing in news for the Legislative Council and the CPPCC. In just five years, he has been promoted to assistant director of interviews. He said that in the future he will be responsible for more newspaper planning and assist colleagues in interviews.

When Ye Aodong was a member of the District Council, he declared that he was a news administrator.

Will I continue to serve in the constituency after losing the election? Ye Aodong said that he would not give up his service in the Jordan South Constituency, and would continue to serve the public on a regular basis in the regional offices in the future. He would continue to serve the community through public offices such as members of the Tourism Authority and the board of directors of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority.
