The man is said to have raised money for the Kurdistan Workers' Party PKK in West Germany and organized events as cadres. Now the suspect has been caught at Frankfurt Airport.

The federal prosecutor has arrested a suspected member of the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) at Frankfurt Airport.

Federal police officers caught the man with Turkish nationality on Thursday in the airport's long-distance train station, as the federal prosecutor's office in Karlsruhe said. He is now in custody.

The investigators accuse the man of managing full-time PKK regions and areas in western Germany from April 2018 to June 2019, primarily in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

He gave instructions, co-organized propaganda events and meetings and collected money - for example in the PKK region of Frankfurt / Main and the PKK region of Hesse. The age of the man was not disclosed. He is accused of membership in a foreign terrorist group.
