US President Donald Trump responded (first) to threats coming from Tehran tonight following the assassination of Qods Force commander Kassem Suleimani. Trump has warned that his country has marked 52 Iranian targets, and that she would not hesitate to act "quickly and intensively."
Trump wrote on Twitter: "Iran speaks bravely about damaging US assets" in response to Suleimani's assassination. "The United States has marked 52 Iranian targets, some of which are of very high importance to Iran and Iranian culture. The impact on them will be rapid and powerful," he wrote.
"The United States wants no more threats," Trump wrote, adding that there are 52 targets that represent the 52 Americans who were held hostage in Iran after being captured by the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979.
The Pentagon declined to comment on the 52 goals Trump indicated, and referred the questions to the White House.
Remember, Qassam Suleimani, commander of the Iranian Quds Force, was eliminated by the United States on Thursday night from Thursday at the Baghdad airport exit. In the attack, Abu Mahdi was also killed by Mohandis, a senior pro-Iranian militia close to Sulimani, and Iran's man in Iraq.
