Trump administration intends to send Mexican immigrants seeking asylum in the United States to Guatemala. In a statement, the Mexican foreign secretariat indicated that the measure could affect some 900 people as of February and promised to find an alternative destination within the country. According to reports from October and November 2019, they were arrested 2,000 Mexican families in the US border and Mexico.
