The participants in the twentieth general conference of the Arab Teachers Union affirmed their support for Syria and their pride in the Syrian Arab Army's victories over takfiri terrorism, plot and the global war against Syria.

In their closing statement after the end of the conference, the participants denounced this evening the American occupation of parts of Syrian lands and the blatant Turkish occupation, stressing that they stand by Syria until the liberation of all its lands from terrorism.

The statement stressed that the Palestinian issue is the central issue of the Arabs and that the resistance is a legitimate right of the Palestinian people to liberate their land and restore their rights and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, calling on the Arab people to support in confronting aggression and Judaizing lands and holy sites and resisting conspiracy and conspiracy deals.

The statement also stressed the need to confront any interference in the preparation of educational curricula in the Arab world, especially the attempt to interfere with the UNRWA in the Palestinian curricula or other attempts to alienate these curricula in the context of globalization and the soft war that Arab societies are exposed to to destroy the minds of generations, calling for the necessity Stabilization of the subject of national education in the curricula in a manner that is compatible with all academic levels.

In their statement, the participants pointed out the importance of adhering to the fluent Arabic language and addressing attempts to privatize government education by supporting government schools and developing them and providing free and compulsory education to the university, calling for improving the infrastructure of schools and their equipment and paying attention to technical and vocational education and setting a plan to carry out a community-based campaign to combat illiteracy and eradicate illiteracy Normalization with the Zionist enemy, in addition to calling for strengthening relations with popular and professional federations and working to establish relations with teachers ’organizations in the world that do not contradict in their principles and laws with goals Ed the Arab teachers and our national issues.

The statement pointed to the necessity of creating a website to keep pace with the Federation's activities and investing all national and international media platforms in a way that serves the Union's issues and the goals of the Arab nation in achieving its aspirations and paying attention to the Arab Teacher Day in every country and reviving it in a way that befits the status of the teacher.

In their closing statement, the participants expressed their pride in the generous patronage of President Bashar Al-Assad to the conference and their appreciation for what the Syrian Teachers Syndicate had surrounded them, expressing their hope that security, safety and prosperity will prevail throughout Syria.

The closing session of the conference witnessed the election of a new general secretariat for the federation in which Hicham Mukhal of Palestine won as a general secretary of the Arab Teachers Union and successor of Al-Zanati from Egypt as president of the Federation’s Central Council in addition to eight assistant general secretaries for the union, Razan Ferjani from Syria and Dr. Yusef Kanaan from Lebanon and Al-Mastouri Qamudi from Tunisia and Abbas Kazem al-Sudani from Iraq, Farhat Shakheb from Algeria, Yunus Bu Faridah from Libya, Haj Muhammad Zain from Sudan, Sadiq al-Raghawi from Morocco, naming Faraj al-Murtada from Libya as an adviser to the General Secretariat of the federation in addition to distributing honorary shields to members of the A conference by the Syrian Teachers Syndicate, as well as the exchange of a number of shields between the participating delegations.

The General Conference of the Arab Teachers Union, whose work started yesterday in Damascus under the slogan "Resilience and Resistance, strengthens the role of Arab teachers in protecting the national identity to face challenges until liberation and victory" with the participation of delegations from 13 Arab countries held every four years to discuss the reality of the educational process in the Arab world in addition To discuss the organizational and financial reports of the federation, which is held for the second time in a row in Damascus, as a clear message about the Arab teachers ’belief in Syria’s Arab position and its historical role.
