Abd al-Malek al-Houthi spoke in Yemen after Iran's attack on US military bases in Iraq • "This is a great start to uproot US hegemony"

"Anyone who wants to be on America's side is in the position of betrayal and hypocrisy. We stand with Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Palestine and every country subject to an American attack," declared the Houthi leader in Yemen on Wednesday, Abd al-Malek Bader Al-Din al-Houthi, in a speech following the Iranian attack against US Army bases in Iraq.

On the Iranian attack on the bases tonight, al-Houthi said it was "a great start to the practical move to uproot American hegemony in the region." According to the pro-Iranian militia leader, "America is leading coalitions against the peoples while doing something unjust for the war in the United States. This is the most dangerous equation. The Americans want to perpetuate the equation of fragmentation.

Regarding the war in Yemen, al-Houthi noted: "We are at an advanced stage that is the strongest during the others, and the military successes to come are greater than what we have achieved." He said, "We have no aggression against any of our (Islamic) nationals, and our position against America and Israel is thorough and just. We hope Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have learned the lesson, as the following developments are great and significant on both regimes and very negative."

He added: "I recommend the Saudi regime as we approach five years (since entering the war in Yemen) and in the light of regional developments, make a mental statement. You put yourself in the wrong position, and our problem with you began when you started with the aggression on us."
