Iraq report: Explosions have been heard at the Baghdad embassy complex
Edit: Saul AdamTwo loud explosions were heard shortly (Wednesday) in Baghdad, Iraq's capital - witnesses told Reuters. According to a report on the Lebanese Miyadin network, alarms were heard in the "green zone" in the city, the fortified international complex where the US Embassy is located.
During the night, Iran launched missiles at two Iraqi bases where US forces are stationed, in response to the assassination of Qods Force commander Qassem Suleimani. There were no casualties in the attack, which was Tehran's most direct action against Washington since the 1979 US embassy took over.
