The gas filling unit in Sinjuan returned to Latakia today after stopping production due to being flooded with heavy rain water in the morning hours at a time when torrents washed away about two thousand gas cylinders from the unit outside its main building.
The manager of the Sadcop branch explained in a statement to Sanaa that the torrential water entered the administrative rooms and the packing unit, which caused the gas cylinders to be dredged up to 3 km from the unit building, pointing out that work was done in cooperation with the system maintenance unit and the fire and civil defense regiment to secure the site and return the cylinders Drifting with the opening of roads and water-filled waterways that led to the closure of the main road in front of the unit.
He stressed the role of the unit's return to work today at noon after continuous efforts that lasted for about four hours from the technicians after displacing the water from the unit, noting the cooperation of the concerned authorities that contributed to addressing bottlenecks and drainage of water.
