The industrial city of Hasia witnessed a great growth during the last period supported by a package of legislation and facilities, attracting 916 investors during the past year and securing about 30 thousand job opportunities.
Dr. Bassam Al-Mansour, Director of the City, explained that a significant increase in the achieved investment revenue reached last year until the end of November to about 2 billion and 247 million Syrian pounds, and achieved a noticeable increase between 2013 and 2018, where the value of revenue achieved in the year 2013 amounted to about 211 million To gradually increase the number in the year 2017 and reach about one billion and 780 million and in the year 2018 to 2 billion and 400 million Syrian pounds.
Al-Mansour said in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the area of the exchanges sold in Hasia exceeded 63% since its inception in the year 2004 until the end of last year, indicating that the number of completed and invested establishments reached 253, while the number of establishments under construction reached 663.
Al-Mansour pointed out that there is a trend by investors towards the engineering industries that are at the core of the reconstruction process in the past year and that touches on the lives and requirements of citizens, especially the manufacture of lighting lamps, switches, electrical transformers and control units.
