Two missile shells landed in the vicinity of the American embassy in Baghdad today, without reports of material or human damage.
Brigadier Yahya Rasoul, spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, said in a telephone conversation with the SANA correspondent in Baghdad that "two missile shells targeting the American embassy in Baghdad fell at a lake in the vicinity of the embassy without causing material or human damage."
For its part, the Iraqi security media cell confirmed the fall of the two shells and said in a brief statement, "It will announce further details later."
The underground force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced earlier today targeting the Ein al-Assad base in western Iraq, which has American forces with dozens of ballistic missiles, in response to the murder of General Qassem Soleimani and his companions.
