The Colombian Air Force denounced this Friday that in the early morning of the same day there was a "terrorist attack" against one of its military bases in the country. Preliminary reports suggest that a truck bomb exploded .
A noncommissioned officer was injured but not seriously , this branch of the armed forces said.
Colombian President Iván Duque criticized him as a "cowardly and miserable act" and pointed to the leftist guerrilla, the National Liberation Army (ELN) as the possible responsible.

"The ELN has no desire for peace, they want to follow the path of violence and terrorism," Duque told reporters on Friday. "They have always done so."

The Air Force said the explosion occurred at 2:20 am local time, "apparently with improvised explosive parabolic devices that detonated inside the unit."
The General Directorate of the Police in Bogotá confirmed to the CNN chain that “a dump truck with explosive devices exploded in the vicinity of the Yopal air base, Casanare,” about 330 kilometers northeast of the capital, Bogotá.
Local media talk about damage to homes and other buildings around the base. The authorities have opened an investigation to "establish causes and authors" of this act.
