Service workshops reopened the Blue Beach road in the city of Latakia in both directions, after the flow of agricultural lands receded in parallel with the removal of craters and rain canals and the treatment of infringements on the waterways.

The head of the Maintenance Department in the Lattakia City Council, engineer Thaer Jaafar, stated to a SANA reporter that the department's workshops followed up their work in the Damaskruj meadows and included the removal of rain channels and the removal of encroachments by the people, including filling small-diameter pipes in the course of water drainage channels and expanding and increasing their depths in anticipation of any upcoming rains.

Jaafar called on the people not to encroach on the natural sewers, throwing rubble and land residues within the canal.

Lattakia recently witnessed heavy rains caused by the infringements on the waterfalls and the inability of the sewage network to absorb the occurrence of bottlenecks in the drainage of water, torrents and flooding of agricultural lands and some public roads, especially in the area of Mourouj Damaskhro and Ras Shamra.
