An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the Turkish city of Istanbul and its ocean in the Sea of Marmara today.
The media quoted the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management as saying: The residents of the area felt the tremor while there were no reports of damage or injuries.
The administration indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake is located off the coast of Silivri district in the European part of Istanbul, at a depth of 7.09 km.
