New Delhi-Sana
At least 20 people were killed in a truck collision on a highway in northern India.
"AB" quoted Indian police officer Mohit Agarwal as saying today that "the accident occurred near the town of Kanawaj in the state of Uttar Pradesh yesterday evening and resulted in a fire in the bus and at least twenty people were killed and 21 others injured, some of them seriously."
Police believe that the truck driver lost control of it, which led to the collision, indicating that the driver escaped.
It is noteworthy that about 150,000 people are killed annually in India as a result of traffic accidents caused by poor driving and poor maintenance of roads, except for crowded vehicles.
