Salamieh gin in Hama Governorate started supplying industrial seeds resulting from the cotton ginning operations to oil companies in various governorates.
The manager of the ginning engineer, Basil Al-Hamwi, told SANA correspondent today that 200 tons of industrial seeds, most of which were produced in the last season, were shipped to a private sector company in the governorate, indicating that other quantities of seeds are currently available in warehouses for those who wish to purchase them, whether from the public or private sector, according to contracts It is signed with the General Administration of Cotton Ginning and Marketing.
He pointed out that during the current season, the gin received 4128 tons of beloved cotton from the eastern governorates, ginning of 800 tons, and produced 238 tons of ginned cotton and 380 tons of industrial seeds, and the rest as secondary dust and residues, indicating that the gin is currently operating with two shifts and a ginning capacity of about 30 tons per day. .
It is noteworthy that during the past season, Salmiya gin received 2324 tons of cotton from the eastern provinces.
