The Libyan Army Command spokesperson, Major General Ahmed Al-Mesmari, announced a ceasefire for the Military Operations Room in the Western Region, as of midnight.
The Libyan Al-Wasat portal website quoted Al-Mismari as saying in a statement posted on his page
The official on Facebook, "The opposing party must abide by the ceasefire at this time," stressing that the response will be harsh on any breach of this agreement.
Al-Mismari announced last week that the city of Sirte was officially liberated from terrorism, in reference to the forces loyal to the National Accord government that was controlling the city.
And Libya has been witnessing since the NATO aggression against it in 2011, a state of chaos and lawlessness in light of the proliferation of weapons and terrorist organizations that are trying to impose their influence and control on different cities and regions, while the authorities are currently fighting two main parties: the Al-Wefaq government led by Fayez al-Sarraj and the parallel government operating in eastern Libya Supported by the House of Representatives in Tobruk and the Libyan army led by Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter.
