(CNN Spanish) - The Colombian police reported on Sunday that an operation was carried out in which two people died who wanted to carry out a “terrorist action” against the president of the political party Revolutionary Alternative Force of the Common (FARC), Rodrigo Londoño Echeverri aka Timochenko.
In a statement, police said the attack was "imminent" and that in the operation died alias 'Guamby' and alias 'Conejo' or 'Kaleth', who would be "members of the terrorist cell under Hernán Darío Velásquez Saldarriaga aka "The Paisa."
The text details that after receiving information from a source they managed to place security on a road near a farm where Londoño was supposedly located, in the municipality of Alcalá, Valle del Cauca department.

For the moment, the FARC and Londoño have not issued statements about what happened.
