General Ayoub presents the President’s Medal awarded by President al-Assad to the martyr Soleimani to the Iranian Minister of Defense

Gen. Ali Ayoub, Minister of Defense, presented the Medal of the Hero of the Syrian Arab Republic, which President Bashar Al-Assad granted to the martyr General Qassem Soleimani to the Minister of Defense and the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier Amir Hatimi.

General Ayoub spoke during a bilateral meeting with Brigadier Hatami in Tehran about the martyrs of the martyr General Soleimani and praised his great sacrifices, his role and his standing with the Syrian people in the fight against terrorism, indicating that his name will remain immortalized in the memory of history.

In turn, Hatami expressed thanks and appreciation for the sympathy of senior Syrian officials with the government and people of Iran for the martyrdom of General Soleimani, stressing that the path of resistance will remain continuous and that had it not been for the sacrifices of the heroes of the resistance front, including the Syrian armed forces, the terrorist organization "ISIS" would have seized large places in the region.

Brigadier Hatami also reiterated that Iran stands with Syria on the journey to reconstruction, as it stood with it in the stage of the war on terrorism.

The meeting was attended by Syrian Ambassador to Tehran, Dr. Adnan Mahmoud.
