At the beginning of this year, the Sweida Tourism Directorate issued licenses to qualify and employ tourist for five new tourism projects, at a cost of about 900 million pounds.
The Director of Sweida Tourism expresses Al-Arbeed, in a statement to SANA Tourism and Society, that the new projects include four tourist restaurants from two stars that have been granted tourist qualification licenses at a total cost of about 600 million pounds and provide about 50 job opportunities for owners of expertise and graduates of hotel institutes.
Al-Arbeed indicated that the projects are also targeting the establishment of a tourist and hotel training center in the city of As-Suwayda that has been granted a tourist employment license with the specialty of “Restaurant and Kitchen Tourist Sciences” and a capacity of 194 students, and includes 9 classrooms, a computer laboratory, a library corner, activities, cafeteria, student services and a training restaurant at a cost of about 300 million liras.
Al-Arbeed pointed out that the endosperm governorate witnessed a rise in the pace of tourism investment movement during the past year, as the number of projects that were granted licenses to praise and rehabilitate tourism reached 11 projects at a cost that exceeded 4 billion pounds and provided about 400 job opportunities.
Licensed tourism projects include a three-star first-class restaurant in the town of Umm Al-Zaytoun at a cost of one billion liras, and furnished “first-class” three-star villas on the As-Suwayda Road - channels at a cost of 700 million liras, a restaurant, a cafeteria, and a two-star pool in the village of Habran at a cost of 528 million liras A two-star restaurant on the road of the endosperm channels at a cost of 400 million pounds, a restaurant, a pool and a park on the road between Salkhad and Arman at a cost of 250 million pounds and a family park and a pool of two stars on the road between channels and Atil at a cost of 150 million pounds and a second-class pool on the road between Sahwa Tile and unbelief at a cost of 150 million pounds and a fast-food restaurant of two stars on the central street in Suwaida at a cost of 125 million pounds and three two-level catering facilities on the endosperm road through channels at a cost of 700 / million pounds.
It is noteworthy that the number of tourism projects that are under implementation in the governorate amounted to 36 projects with a value of 30 billion and 300 million pounds according to the financial investment values approved by the Ministry of Tourism for the year 2009 while the value of tourism projects under rehabilitation, licensing and employment exceeds 21 billion pounds.
