Lebanon's representative to the United Nations, Amal Mudallali, announced that Lebanon has paid its financial dues to the international organization.

Muddali said in a statement today, "Lebanon paid its dues, which were delayed a few days because of the current situation in Lebanon and everything returned to normal." She stressed that Lebanon is no longer subject to Article 19 of the Charter of the United Nations.

Article 19 of the Charter of the United Nations stipulates that “A Member of the United Nations who is in arrears in the payment of his financial contributions to the Organization shall not have the right to vote in the General Assembly if the value of his arrears is equal to or in excess of the value of the contributions due from him in the previous two full years.
