Today, the Russian Foreign Ministry criticized the decision of some European countries regarding the nuclear agreement signed with Iran, calling for the situation not to escalate.

In a statement to the ministry, in response to the decision of Britain, Germany and France to activate paragraph 36 of the nuclear agreement, which establishes the mechanism for resolving disputes regarding its implementation, Russia’s website today stated that “the European parties’ decision for the joint comprehensive plan of action is to move to the launch of the conflict resolution mechanism stipulated in paragraph 36 of the plan In this regard, her orientation to the European Union High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Policy in the Security Sector is deeply disturbing and serious concern.

The ministry stressed in its statement that there is no justification for this action plan, expected that the reckless behavior of the "three European countries" will lead to a new escalation on the joint comprehensive plan of action and prevent the return of the implementation of the nuclear agreement to its agreed frameworks, which the European Troika pretends to seek.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called the European troika not to escalate the situation and abandon steps that put the future of the nuclear agreement in an unknown state.

France, Britain and Germany announced earlier today the activation of the mechanism for resolving the nuclear dispute with Iran, in a joint statement in which the three countries claimed that they had taken their decision on the pretext of Iran's failure to honor its obligations under the nuclear agreement.
