Balloon terror returns: A charge exploded on Thursday evening in Eshkol Regional Council, after it was launched into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. The charge exploded near the security forces arriving at the scene to neutralize the charge, but did not cause any damage or casualties.
The event joins a series of similar events in recent days, with 16 firearms launches and explosions being launched from the Gaza Strip to Israel since yesterday - so far no casualties. Launching incendiary balloons in the last day joins the rocket launch yesterday afternoon, when four rockets were launched at Israel and two of them hit empty areas. According to the estimates responsible for the shootings, the Islamic Jihad was organized, and some believe that the aim of the shootings is to undermine the efforts between Israel and Hamas.
In recent years, the launching of cargoes and incendiaries has become a favorite tool of the Palestinians - due to the difficulty in intercepting balloons and the great damage inflicted by incendiary balloons in the southern communities - leading to many forest fires and extensive damage to agricultural crops and nature reserves in the Gaza envelope.
