Watch the rain radar:

To Walla! NEWS has learned that in recent rainfall systems, Mekorot has seized 18.1 million cubic meters of floodwater in its reservoir, which already accounts for 82% of floodwater caught during the current winter season (22 million cubic meters). Of all the floodwaters, six million meters of cobbles were seized in the south, in the "Sycamore" reservoir, and are intended for drinking and agriculture. This is a reservoir where no floodwater was caught in the same period last year due to the low rainfall.

In the north, in the Kfar Baruch reservoir, about four million meters of floodwater were seized to fill the reservoirs of the Kishon community, compared to 2.7 million meters of floodwater in the same period last year. At the center, in the Nahal Menashe plant, which collects flood water from alligator streams, Ada, Barkan and shifts, in the last rainfall system, approximately 5.4 million cubic meters of floodwater were absorbed, compared with 8.4 million cubic meters of floodwater in the same period last year. "Perceived floodwater is used for natural filtration in the soil, assisting with the rehabilitation of the natural hamster and even integrated into the national water supply system," explained VP Operations and Maintenance, Mekorot, Danny Sofer.
