Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed today that the American presence in Syria is completely incompatible with international law.
Zakharova said in a statement today that this presence comes as a continuation of the hostilities behind which Washington stood and which violated international law, as happened in Yugoslavia, Iraq and other countries.
Zakharova pointed out that "Washington also violates the agreements concluded between it and the United Nations, as it often refuses in the recent period to grant visas to enter its territory to representatives of foreign countries who want to come to New York to attend United Nations events."
Zakharova also pointed out that the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the joint comprehensive plan to settle Iran's nuclear program is a violation of the UN Security Council resolution in this regard, noting that the actions of the US administration have often become inconsistent with the Constitution of the United States itself.
