At 2 am, the police received a report that a suspected theft occurred at a noodle shop, 277 Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay. According to reports, the proprietor at the site found his employee suspected of stealing the cash in the store and was arrested on the spot, so he reported it. The police arrived at the scene and after preliminary investigations, arrested a male employee for "theft".

Sources said the shop involved was a Japanese-style ramen shop "Don't be a god". The store does not collect cash. Instead, it asks customers to use an Octopus or other electronic payment programs to buy tickets at automatic ticket machines. The person in charge Xiao Yongquan explained that the use of electronic payment and the use of automatic ticket machines, in addition to avoiding the cooking staff from contacting money, also meant to prevent theft, and the mood was affected after the incident.

Xiao Yongquan said that at the time of the incident, a Japanese friend took a picture with his mobile phone. After receiving the clip, he rushed to the store to ask the staff member. The staff member admitted that he had not committed the crime for the first time and hoped that Xiao would not call the police. However, Xiao believes that the theft cannot be condoned. "How many (a hundred dollars) a day is worth tens of thousands a month?" Finally, he decided to report to the police. He pointed out that the shop is small and usually only has two or three employees. The employees are arranged to trust because of their trust. In addition, they are artificially higher than their peers and cannot understand the reason for the theft. He said that there is a closed-circuit television in the store, but based on "don't use suspects, don't doubt about employing people", he does not check often, but after the incident, the behavior of the staff involved was filmed from multiple angles.

It is reported that a regular customer disclosed to the proprietor yesterday (19th) that recently, an employee actually told the guests that instead of using a ticket vending machine, verbal orders and direct cash payments were used instead. Immediately after hearing the words, the proprietor checked the closed-circuit television and revealed an employee who suspected that he was snoring late at night and only the employee in the store was "staffing" alone. The arrested employees are known to be about 50 years old and have worked at the site for about one or two years. Some people have recently used this method to estimate that they have stolen hundreds of dollars a day; last night, about 500 to 600 yuan was involved. However, when the crime started and how many funds were involved, it remains to be verified.

The staff involved were arrested and taken by the police.
