To coincide with the Lunar New Year, some Chinese students studying abroad will return to the Chinese New Year. The British "Guardian" reported on January 24 that some universities issued a special warning that students returning to the Chinese New Year may need to be quarantined.
The University of Chester said that Chinese students studying in the UK have been warned that if they return to the Chinese New Year, they may need to accept a suitable period of isolation before returning to school.

Universities UK said that the primary goal of universities is to ensure the safety and welfare of students, and universities in the UK have closely monitored the situation with the new coronavirus. The federation also stated that universities would continue to listen to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' recommendations and monitor the situation.
Dundee University, which is in partnership with Wuhan University, said five staff members returned from Wuhan last week without any health problems. Aberdeen University said five staff members had also visited Wuhan during the outbreak, and one of them took precautions to isolate themselves by working from home.
