The Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior indicated that all public roads in the governorates are passable, with the exception of a number of roads in the governorates of Sweida and Lattakia due to the prevailing weather conditions.
The Traffic Department indicated in its publication this evening, which Sana received a copy of, that all roads in As-Suwayda Governorate are clear except for the roads leading to the Al-Mashnaf area and all roads leading to the Salt area, as they are difficult to clear due to the formation of ice.
She pointed out that all roads in Lattakia governorate are impassable except for the road “Slanfah Al-Ghba’a broadcasting station” that is impassable due to snow accumulation and the formation of ice and the “al-Qandah al-Ghaba” road that is difficult to clear due to snow accumulation.
The Traffic Department advised drivers to use fog lights, check brakes, reduce speed at corners, slopes, road crossings and drive with caution to avoid accidents, noting that they had assigned numbers 5422703 and 5411365 to inquire about the condition of the roads.
