3 people get arrested in a shipping company and smoke sale center in Jaramana, dealing in non-lira

The Ministry of Interior announced that the Criminal Security Branch in Damascus countryside arrested three people in a shipping company and a smoke-free center in the locality of “Jaramana” who deal outside the Syrian pound and exchange currencies illegally in exchange for material benefit.

The ministry explained on its page on the social networking site “Facebook” today that while the Criminal Security Branch investigated the Smoke Center and the shipping company in the presence of the judicial officer in the Central Bank of Syria, they found various foreign currencies and amounts of money amounting to six hundred and nine thousand Syrian pounds and several documents, documents and phone conversations proving that The two persons deal in other than the Syrian pound, exchange currencies and transfer funds without a license.

The Ministry indicated that three people were arrested at the company and the smoke sale center, one of them with a crime, while he was disbursing one hundred dollars.

The Ministry indicated that the necessary legal action has been taken against them and investigations are still ongoing with them and they will be brought to the appropriate jurisdiction.

The Ministry had announced earlier today the arrest of a person in Deir Atiyah in Damascus countryside while he was doing foreign currencies and dealing in non-pounds in his shop intended to sell smoke.
