In the country

About 30 Chinese civilians arrived on flight from Moscow - and deported back to Russia • On the flight were dozens of Israelis who might have been infected by the Chinese, but their entry into the country was allowed

An unusual incident in the Ben Gurion Airport due to the panic of the Corona virus: About 30 Chinese civilians who landed on Saturday at the airport from Russia's Aeroplot flight were returned to Moscow after being banned from entering the country.

On the flight from Russia, dozens of Israelis were allowed into Israel, and apparently if one of the Chinese was infected with the disease, it might have infected the other passengers. The panic around tourists started in Russia, but eventually they were put into flight.

However, tourists from China have landed in the country contrary to the Ministry of Health, which on Thursday prohibited the entry of Chinese citizens to Israel. In the first place, the fear was that Chinese tourists would continue to arrive in the country on connecting flights from other countries from which flights are still being made to China.

Tomorrow morning, two aircraft will be landed in Israel with Chinese civilians, some of them embassy employees in Tel Aviv, and for others, a guarantee has been received from the Chinese embassy that they do not carry the virus. The Ministry of Health has approved their landing, provided they refrain from moving around in public places.
