Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reiterated that the arrogant US policy in Latin America represents the primary threat to peace and stability on this continent.
Rodriguez denounced in a Tweet on Twitter today the revival of the Monroe Doctrine declared by US President James Monroe in the year 1823, which considered South America a region of US interests, stressing that this principle "represents in its essence an old tool for imperial domination and an assault on the sovereignty of peoples and their right to self-determination."
And Cuba, which stood in the face of American colonial policies in Latin America, is under an unfair economic embargo by the United States for nearly 60 years because of its policies rejecting American exclusivity and hegemony.
