It is to be auctioned off to perverted bidders on the Internet . The bids and comments overturn. A gruesome scenario, difficult for the audience of yesterday's " crime scene " to endure. Pure fiction, you want to calm down. But the " Monster " case from Dortmund is terrifyingly close to reality.

In 2018, there were 14,000 child sexual abuse reports in Germany. These are the cases that have come to light. Experts estimate that if you want to illuminate the dark field, you have to increase the number tenfold. Children under the age of ten are particularly affected because they are easier to manipulate.

Federal Family Minister Franziska Giffey said in a comprehensive documentary that ZDFinfo on February 13 at 8:15 p.m. on the subject of “Child abuse in Germany”: “Attention to this topic has increased, but we are far from being out of the taboo zone.” The power of the perpetrators and the shame of the victims are too great. Scientists have shown that over 50 percent of sexual assault is committed by non-pedophiles. With the atrocities they do to children, the perpetrators live out power, sadism and personality disorders on the weakest in society.

The “monsters” feel particularly good on the Internet - the ARD thriller shows that too. The professional exploitation of children has increased by 14 percent in recent years. The business in child trafficking and pornography is profitable. And online investigators' resources are limited. After all, an amendment to the law should make it easier to find the perpetrator in the future. The first step to significantly increase child protection in Germany.

The TV criticism of the crime scene "Monster": Between abuse and fainting

Series killer Markus Graf (Florian Bartholomäi) has been playing his perfidious cat and mouse game with Commissioner Peter Faber (Jörg Hartmann) for years. The man who has the investigator's family on his conscience is enjoying his revenge in installments. The reason for this is the arrest of Graf's pedophile father, whom Faber once put behind bars and who hanged himself there. So now the Commissioner should die too. The "crime scene: monster" forms the cruel finale of a manic relationship. A case that creates an oppressive scenario with sexual abuse and child trafficking. The concern that such a sensitive topic has to serve as a rivalry for two adversaries has proven to be unfounded.

Director Torsten C. Fischer stages this crime thriller from Dortmund gently and without showmanship. He gives the victims an insistent voice. He skilfully implements the dramaturgical construction of author Jürgen Werner and, in addition to the old story of revenge, follows the desolate path of a girl who was abused as a child (convincingly Luisa-Celine Gaffron), who herself becomes a perpetrator. She is just a cog in the sadistic interlocking of long-term villain Graf, and yet she also pays her own bills on this occasion.

The kidnapped daughter of colleague Jan Pawlak (Rick Okon), the cruel auction of the girl in the Darknet, the grueling investigation and Faber's personal psycho-duel - all of these weave "Monster" into a breathless thriller, which is not always 100% realistic ( unlikely that Pawlak will be able to investigate the kidnapping of his own daughter), but which causes many goosebumps moments. It is the indicated abuse and the constant helplessness of the commissioners that give rise to oppressive feelings. The showdown between Faber and his eternal rival Graf seems almost relaxing in view of the monstrous topic.

The parallels to the OEZ attack in July 2016 are unmistakable. At the ARD “crime scene” “Unclear Location” from Munich last week, veteran investigators Wachtveitl and Nemec showed how they still manage to shoot special crime novels.

Moving funeral service for TV star: Ferdinand Schmidt-Modrow suddenly died at the age of 34. The funeral service in Munich was very emotional.
