The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the shooting down of a drone plane near the Hmeimim base in Latakia countryside, indicating that it was coming from the sea.
The ministry said in a statement that the "Panzer S" missiles at the Russian base destroyed a target near Hmeimim without causing any injuries or material damage, and that the base was operating normally.
Earlier in the day, a SANA correspondent reported that anti-aircraft launched anti-aircraft gunships launched by terrorist groups towards Hmeimim Airport in Lattakia countryside.
