The president sent his wishes on the Twitter network to "wonderful Kansas State residents," but Kansas City is a city located in the state of Missouri

US President Donald Trump, thanks to his control of the Twitter network, was among the first to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs on their victory over their rival San Francisco in the Super Bowl final tonight.

But the president's blessing also included an embarrassing error. In his remarks, the president welcomed residents of the "wonderful state of Kansas," with Kansas City, where the Chiefs come from, located in general in the state of Missouri.

"Congratulations to the Chiefs of Kansas City on a great game, a great comeback, under tremendous pressure. You represent the wonderful Kansas State and in fact, the entire United States, well. Our country is proud of you," Trump wrote.

The president quickly corrected his mistake, and deleted the tweet and re-uploaded it. But the tweet was in the air long enough for the network's residents to notice and embarrass the president in the comments. Claire McSkill, a former Missouri state senator captioned the tweet and wrote: "This is Missouri State, you complete idiot."

This is not the first time that Trump has erred in geography in a way that is embarrassing to the White House. During Hurricane Dorian, Trump insisted that the storm make its way to the state of Alabama when that was not the case. In a way that added to the embarrassment, Trump presented an illustration of the hurricane impact areas with a black eraser marker around part of Alabama.

Another geographical error that made the president ridicule occurred last year when he proposed building a border wall in the state of Colorado that does not border on Mexico, probably due to the fact that it borders on the state of New Mexico.
