"Do you know how they tell Talleres? Alfajor de pollo, because it doesn't exist . " That was the phrase of the field that resonated in the head of Miryam Díaz. The woman of Córdoba created a typical alfajor of the region, but with a particularity: it is salty and stuffed with chicken . His idea became furor in social networks and some users considered it controversial.
In the town of Nono , in the Traslasierra Valley , it is the first hours of the afternoon. Miryam seems to be unable to supply. He assures that he has just had an interview on a radio, they do not stop calling her on the phone, and in addition the driver Mariano Peluffo asked him to record an audio.
" I am 55 years old, but I work as if I were 25, " reveals Clarín, the protagonist of the story, who owns Ave Fénix, a family business that sells Milanese sanguches, crumbs and now the famous alfajores. Miryam was going to offer the product in the summer of 2019 , but a surgery complicated the situation: "Just the day I decided to go to the City of Córdoba to do the whole part of the logo, I broke down and had to operate . He tried his luck this season. And his creation exploded. "The sweet alfajor that we all know took it to the salty dimension. I did that in my head . It looks really good, "he replies.

In appearance, it is identical to the Cordovan alfajor, says the woman. "I put grated cheese on the edges to mimic the coconut of conventional alfajores," he replies. And the ingredients? They are not a mystery: it has crushed chicken, scallions, spices, salt and pepper .
After trying his creation for the first time, he went out on the sidewalk with the alfajores and there was his neighbor: "'I'm going to make you try something,' I said and he loved it. He told me he thought it was delicious. That was a huge joy. " clarifies. In addition to the chicken alfajor, it offers beef, kid and a vegan option of sweet pepper, mushrooms and eggplant .
On Twitter, the user @alfajorperdido published Miryam's story and the impact was enormous. While some users congratulated her and warned that they would be encouraged to try it, others failed her: "The churro de roquefort was banking me but this is already too much," replied @ floresdeagosto2.

Although for me it is an alfajor because it is in the form of alfajor . I want to rival and compete, I am not in that. It is the look of each one. When I registered and patented the product, they found no background : it had never been done and it is not forbidden to do so, "says Miryam.
The alfajor weighs 80 grams and leaves 50 pesos each. "When the elaboration is handmade, the costs are higher. I have three girls who help me. The idea is to expand. It won't be easy, I know. But I'm willing. The layout is half the way done, "he reflects.
