Today, the Excellence and Creativity Authority called on the teams wishing to participate in the "open category" competition within the national championship of the World Robot Olympiad, "RRO" for the year 2020 to submit their project ideas and register through the authority's page on the social networking site Facebook.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it, the commission indicated that registration continues until the twenty-sixth of this month, indicating that financial and scientific support will be provided to the ideas of the submitted projects in order to assist and encourage creativity initiatives in robotics.
With a view to expanding, developing and organizing a qualified trainers' base for robotic competitions, the commission noted that it will hold a credit course for trainers for robotic tournaments "at an advanced level" during the period between 3-26 and 2-4-2020 at Al-Baath University in Homs.
The commission invited those wishing to participate in this course to register via the electronic link on the authority’s page on the social networking site Facebook, indicating the conditions for participation in this course, namely that the applicant is an engineering student or graduate of one of the engineering specialties and that he is a participant as a coach or assistant coach in one of the national championships in the field of robotics on At least once, in addition to passing the entrance examination, where the exam mark obtained by the applicant is not less than sixty percent.
The national championship of the World Robot Olympiad, to be organized in Damascus next August, includes five competitions, which are the regular competition "primary class" for children and adolescents under 13 years, the regular competition "middle class" for adolescents from 13 to 15 years old, and the regular competition "high category" for young people from 16 Up to 19 years old, the open competition for primary, middle, and upper classes and the university competition "Advanced Challenge Competition" for young people from 17 to 25 years old.
87 of the robotic clubs in public and private universities, educational institutions, NGOs and specialized training centers participated in the 2019 National Robot Olympiad held in Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
The tournament aims to help university students, school students and those interested in science and technology to demonstrate their energies and capabilities in the field of designing and programming robots competing with each other and provide an appropriate environment for exchanging experiences in the field of robot education, which contributes to spreading the culture of robot science and help in developing and strengthening basic educational educational skills such as teamwork, creativity and excellence And love technology, science, mathematics and engineering.
