The new coronavirus epidemic has spread in many places around the world, and cruise ships have confirmed multiple confirmed cases. Royal Caribbean announced on February 7 that it is temporarily banned to board vessels with Chinese, Hong Kong or Macau passports until the end of February.

Royal Caribbean's website has updated travel restrictions, saying the company decided to adopt stricter hygiene measures after discussing with medical experts and health authorities.

The company said that authorities will not arrange Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau passport holders to board the ship throughout February, and the ban is not limited to their place of residence. In addition, the shipping company also requires passengers or crew members who have been in contact with people in the three places in the last 15 days, and anyone who has symptoms of colds, to undergo additional medical examinations at the terminal.

People with fever or low blood oxygen levels during certain health checks are not allowed to board the ship.

The shipping company apologized to the affected people, saying that it was necessary to take these measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment on the ship and the port to which it arrived.
