Politicians from the district, from Munich and Berlin, citizens, clergymen, the music band - they all came especially because of him. To celebrate it, which will free Garmischischer from noise, exhaust gases and traffic jams from the end of 2024.
Nevertheless, he has to share his day. With the roll tunnel. There is hardly a speaker who does not mention the bypassing of Partenkirchen. He gets concentrated attention from Federal Minister of Transport Andreas Scheuer (CSU). He brings with him a promise: As soon as construction law exists, the Wank tunnel will be built. "I promise you that." Until then, the planning will continue, nothing will be left behind.

Good news for all those Partenkirchner who feared that they would be forgotten with the financing commitment for the Auerberg tunnel two weeks ago. Thanks to Tanja Dobrindt, you can no longer see just an impressive, technically difficult and sinfully expensive transport project - 263.6 million euros are budgeted - and Bavaria's longest road construction tunnel - it will measure 3.6 kilometers. Rather, you see the people behind it. "My boys", as Tanja Dobrindt calls her in her speech. She is the politician's wife, but above all she is a tunnel sponsor.
The phone call from the Weilheim road construction office surprised her. And pleased. She knows what great role the tunnel sponsor, the earthly representative of Saint Barbara and patron saint, plays for the miners. "I accept this task with awe" will support the men with all their might. She got to know the team and felt: "You are one with the mountain in which you work, you respect it." And they do extraordinary things. You have to imagine that, emphasizes Tanja Dobrindt. "My boys" have 1985 meters of rock above them, up to 3600 meters of rock in front of them, working in permanent darkness. And with their commitment they finally bring the relief that he has been waiting for so long to.
