The fault widens visibly. Since the shock caused by the United States' decision to kick the Chinese group Huawei out of its 5G network and to prohibit it from trading with its companies, the plate tectonics of the global technological “supercontinent” have been reversed. No more convergence of standards, free movement of electronic components and technologies. The American plate and the Chinese plate take opposite directions, each trying to reduce its dependence on the other. And the movement is accelerating.

On the Chinese side, Huawei has entered into an alliance with the three other major national phone manufacturers, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo, to develop a sort of common mobile application store and to be able to do without Google Play in the long term. Under the banner of the Global Developer Service Alliance (GDSA), the four Chinese brands will develop a common platform where developers outside of China can offer usable applications
